Does it seem like the 2k2 and 2k3 max's have a crap load of potentiol? I mean now with the stillen headers and downpipe, the nismo cams, rest of the exhaust and other mods (underdrive pulley, intake etc) I am surprised there isn't anyone with over 300hp? I hate to do ricer math but it seems the 3.5L is a perfect platform to work off of...

 

I think the fact that it's a 4 door car, and in the niche of the family sedan market, are the 2 main factors in the Maxima's inability to gain favor in aftermarket parts from a wide array of of manufacturers.

 

If you were to add intake, exhaust, headers and udp to a 2k2/2k3 Maxima. You should be pushing over 300hp at the crank. To push that at the wheel you would have to either be spraying or have boost. I don't even think it's possible to do it N/A even if you port and polish, get forged pistons and the cams. You would come close, but still not 300hp. Just my 2 cents though.

 

With retuned ecu and all those above parts you should be pretty close, i dont think you'll reach 300fwhp, but i wouldnt know...

Everyone is too cheap to be buying the expensive mods...
