Not to sound stupid but what are "sills"?

When you open the door, they are the piece of plastic on the bottom ridge... I know GXEs are just apiece of plastic while on the Anniversary edition they are chrome...

I have 2 plastic's per mat. A clear one (actually its yellow from the sun), and a grey one.

I have towels under the plastic mats, I guess that's just as bad. And YJ, I have blonde.....harder to keep clean than frost!
