AE Edition Pedals A/T w/Dead Pedal from Jerry Rome

Anyone buy the AE Edition Pedals A/T w/Dead Pedal from Jerry Rome? I bought the set they are selling and the only item that fit was the brake pedal. I called Jerry Rome and was told that they put the set together for the .org members at their request. He said the dead pedal was from a 350Z and couldn't give any recommendations as to how to install the gas pedal. The parts manager said he has sold many kits and to check with other .org members on how they installed. Any suggestions?

Here's PMAS76's website and he's got detailed intructions of how to install the pedals. Click on page 5 for AE pedals and then page 18 for 350Z dead pedal.

The AE pedals for automatic transmission '02/'03 5th gens aren't a perfect fit as you've noticed. Again, as you've seen, only the brake pedal fits fine.

For the '00/'01s, the gas pedal usually comes with the complete arm assembly so a simple swap out gets that in there. For '02/'03s, replacing pedal for pedal is not possible without some tape to better snuggly fit it onto the existing arm assembly.

For the dead pedal, if you have the 350Z assembly, the best thing to do is to get some kind of saw and cut off most of the black plastic, leaving only a bit as the trim. Then screw it into the existing dead pedal area on the floor. (I always wonder if good double-sided tape or velcro would would in this situation as opposed to screwing it down.)

Thanks for your input guys. It was confusing when I got the parts and they were not a direct fit. Jerry Rome says the parts fit 95-03 Maxima. Nothing else as far as custom install required. I will try to fit a rubber hose around the gas pedal rod to take up the slack and use the stock plastic retainer clip to hold it on. I will also cut the 350Z dead pedal as you suggested.

Are there any wires to be concerned of behind the original footrest? I pulled the carpet back and just found black sound insulation which appears to be installed very well and I would not like to pull it all up.
