I have the AE which has the body kit, and the splash guards were an extra cost option that I did order and intstall myself. The nice thing about these is that once on, they integrate perfectly with the body kit and are in the body color. You may be able to see from the sideview pic, attached in my sig.
But if you're getting the GLE, they won't look like this, I think they are all black, but as others say, they do look nice. And for the body protection, it is money well spent.

Splash guards..
Were already on my GXE when I bought it. They were labeled on the window sticker after the C & C package as a $100 item; Sunroof $900; Floor mats $80. I don't know how they decide which cars will get the guards and which ones don't.

How about...
I30 splash guards... Can it fit?
Sighted an I30 w/ body color guards, looked sweet. It didn't have a body kit so, ya think it'll fit if ya manage to match the color to your max?

I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a Maxima w/out the splash guards. I just took delivery of a 2k1 SE w/C&C, Leather and it came with the filter, splash guards, mats and sunroof deflector. I told em I didn't want them, but their response was: "all our maximas have those dealer-installed items." I didn't pay for them though.
The splash guards look real good though. And they're relatively cheap.

I'm sitting here waiting and nobody's answering it!!!! Are the splash guards for the AE specific to the AE, due to the body kit??? Anybody know???
Believe it or not...the splash guards were not on my baby when she arrived. I am thinking about adding them on though.
Somebody who's done the installation themselves....is everything pre-drilled??? Thanks.

I don't believe the AE body kit splash guards will fit the base SE model. And, installation of the AE guards did require some drilling and creative maneuvering to get screwed in for the rear set. If you have the opportunity to do it with the wheels off, that would be my suggestion. But, I got it done, just took longer and a little tricky. If I'd have had my flexible driver like I do now, it would have probably been a breeze. Good luck! srm

I too negotiated the splash guards in with the price, and they pay off. Our winters are very rainy and they help to keep the road grime off the car and prevent rocks from being kicked up and scratching the paint.

Canadian Maximas come with body colored splash guards.
If you want it, you can order it at the Canadian Dealers.

Okay...Nissan's retail price is $108 for all four splash guards on the AE. Although he's got part numbers for the fronts and the rears separately there are no prices on them yet.
The GXE/GLE/SE guards are cheaper since they're black. The AE splash guards are specifically designed around the Aero kit.
According to my guys, they haven't seen a splash guard in 15 years that didn't have the holes pre-drilled. He's pretty sure a phillips-head is all that is necessary to install.

i had to get'em to my bodyshop and they painted for me...it was really really cheap(only $70) considering that i have icelandic pearl white..on the other hand, my spoiler will cost me $275 for the paint.
i think non-pearl colors are cheaper.

i don't think you can order pre-painted mud-guards from nissan for non-anniversay addtion maximas..
just go to your dealership and buy the non-painted ones, and bring them to local bodyshop. they'll paint them for you.

Installing Splash Guards...
At least with the AE, whoever it was that posted being able to install these things without removing the rear wheels...you are a god.
Rears: With the 17's there is about an inch of space and the holes are NOT pre-drilled (just indented) so I say removing the wheels is a must.
Fronts: Turn the wheels hard in each direction and you have plenty of space for the install, but there are three screws to put in...two are pre-drilled...the third, on the bottom of the frame, is not.
The "official" Nissan time for labor in the book is .2 units each...so your dealer could do it for you pretty cheap.

I made the statement that the installation would go better if done with the wheels off. It was a challenge doing the rears with them on, but I managed.
The fronts were much easier, as you say, by cutting the tires sharply.
All in all, it probably took me an hour to do the whole job.
Good luck to anyone out there that tries!
