Hi, I am a mustang guy with a blown 600hp 92gt, I bought my aod 2001 max SE new in 2001 and its got 41k, have a question, I have three friends that drive 2001 mxs at work and these are our daily drivers,I am the only car guy...others just commute in them, interested to know why all of our check engine lights come on so much..i took it in under warranty and they had to re-program my computer...now in 10k its been on twice for about 2 weeks each time...any thoughts..its totally stock, i am a electrical eng. and 29yrs old...want to modify tastfully and adult style-wise to do the suspension but not like a wed whacker.any thoughts on these 2 things would be appreciated...thanks

That's odd, since I never had that kind of problem with the check light, in fact, it never shows it unless you just turn the key to on. Have you had your oxygen sensor checked?
