5-Speed Conversion Parts

Hey guys-
I've gotten the parts for several 5sp conversions, there is always a wait & headaches with Nissan on getting everything rounded up. I'm trying to convince my boss to let me keep all the parts as regularly stocked items. Since the .org guys would be my sole customer, I'm wondering how many of you are seriously planning to do the comversion, I'm mostly referring to the small stuff ( pedal stuff, clutch hydraulics, etc)

All the parts illustrations with prices are in the "shop talk" section. Just go to the "modifications" section. Anyone can print it out & figure out exactly what they need. Check it out! Interested in swapping?

I don't understand why people keep questioning us. I have an auto. I wanted an auto. I wasn't going to mod the car, but I have. SO instead of selling my car and buying a 5spd. I'll do it on my own. I had a gf that didn't know how to drive stick. She's gone. So is auto. It was hard for me to find a stick AE in the grey i wanted in 2000 when I bought my car. They released them little by little. Now you know.

Oh and if it is a waste of money, sokay. If we have the money to spend, we'll do it. Sometimes you gotta do things cuz you just can.

DaveB asked me if he should put this thread up, I said sure, I know alot are interested. Because I ordered almost everything from him except the tranny so far. Some parts on backorder and this thread is to see who is interested cause he can stock them and have a better turnaround time than like 2-3weeks like I might be in for.

Maybe cause people like me who bought the car as an auto never in my wildest dreams thought I wouldve done this much to my car where I pretty much need the auto. Plus I used to live in DC and the traffic was horendous to the point I no longer wanted to drive stick. Yes I paid extra for the auto when I bought the car, and now Im paying even more to convert it.

But you gotta pay to play in this game.

Anything is possible.... but until someone does it to know exactly what parts are needed someone is going to have to take the hard road and do the work either by detailing out through parts diagrams on what is needed and what is not needed or just get a front clip of a manual 2k2-2k3 and figure it out that way.

Um yea, its being delivered..... Then painted and installed and completed with the 5spd tranny along with probably having the carbon fiber hood.

I would've loved a 6spd 03, but with traffic in NYC the way it is and also the fact that how hard is it to shift, hold the wheel and still be able to puff a blunt at the same time....

It all depends on how many new/used parts you use. Those who have bought everything new down to the last nut & bolt have spent $3500. Those who track down used trans & axles & buy brackets/harware/hydraulics/pedals new usually spend $500-600, but it all depends on how much you need!

If you look at the parts sheet on that 8page PDF that has been linked on this thread, it shows all the prices for each part that is needed. Dave basically put a price for each part you need, the ones that dont have prices, you dont need.

Yeah I know I did that could read a couple of them so made guess of what it was and got about $860 and some change for everything but tranny and driveaxles. I want to know also how much it would run for shipping.
