I searched for previous threads on this topic, but I couldn't find anything worthwhile. Apologies for killing a dead horse...but, could someone give me detailed instructions or point me to the thread on how to change out the factory foglight bulbs?? I can get the lower fender protector off, but don't know what to do from there. Thanks in advance for any info!!

Hehehehe... I found it. Use "fog light replacement" as your keywords (yes, it's very similar to your subject).

Thanks Kev! Call me retarded, but I was initially using the 'Search the Maxima.org forums' engine at the top of the page and *NOT* the 'Search' function located in the upper right hand corner of the page where you can specify what forum to search. Duh! As you can tell, I'm brand spankin' new to this forum. I love it though -- great source of info!! :-D

nisMAXse,

Grasshopper, after finding the source of information on changing the fog lights, you will ask the same question as we: why is changing the fog lights such a pain in the ***?!?

Good luck!

PS: I never could figure out how to get the under-body piece off. I did it the hard way and wedged my arm behind the wheel well lining.

I attempted it once before not knowing anything and even started on the passenger side! Yeah, ;et's just say I didn't get very far. I may attempt it tomorrow if the weather's nice...approximately how long does this procedure take?? Thanks!

If you do it the long way, whereas you simply peel back the wheel well liner, it is an hour+. Start on the driver's side. The windshield washer reservoir is on the passenger's side, which makes this approach more difficult, adds to the time. But, once you get the driver's side down it is not all that bad.

I could do it in 30 minutes, now, after doing it once already, probably less time.

The ideal situation is to figure out how to get the "screws" (eg body attachments) out from below. If you can do that, it is a pretty straight-forward procedure, from what I understand.

i could switch both sides in under 15 min now... i did it sooo god damn many times... i do it from the front... i never did it from the wheel well... its easy to remove those plastic screws... all u have to do is us a flat screw driver and pry them off... just stick the screw driver in between the plastic screw and the bumper and pry it off... once it comes off a little.. u can grab it with ur fingers and just pull... pull the screw out with out the plastic housing its in... its easy just pull hard u cant break them... they will come out..
