I went to Mossy Nissan in National City, CA to get it done. A$$holes took more than five hours to tell me that it doesn't apply to my car (the total time they spent working on my car was 3 minutes.)
But if the service is good where you live, then to check your ecu #'s shouldn't take more than few minutes. As to the actual procedure. It depends if you need new mass air flow sensor. If not then I say an hour tops. If you need one then it depends if they have one in stock.

I was in and out in an hour. Don't let them jerk you around.

It took Rodeo Nissan of Fresn, California a full day (24 hrs) just to tell me it doesn't apply to my car. Luckily I phoned it in instead of taking it in.

They lied to you man, it applies to ALL 2002's and they HAVE to have the car to read the ECM part # anyway!! Try ANOTHER DEALER.
