Lower Grill Question

I have a 2000 Maxima and was wondering how an aftermarket lower grill would attach to the car. The only really solid part I could see was the aluminum box structure of the bumper. Is this where a grill would hook to?

using the plastic of the bumper cover would be enough. it doesnt really take much. im not sure if 2000s have something similar, but on my car there are vertical slats of plastic that can be used as anchors for zip ties.

Thanks, I didn't think it would require much to secure it.

If you are going to get a grille from Grille tech, then you will zip tie the grille to the four or five notches on the lower valence. If you are going with the Street Scenes then you'll be using clamps. Can't really explain that, but if you go to kpazzo6's site on cardomain he has a how-to-install with pictures. Street Scenes website has a diagram but it doesn't do justice.

Do a search on Grille tech and Street Scenes. That will definitely help you.

I surprised mine isn't rusting yet! Knock on wood. But I'm finally gonna get the Street Scenes, upper and lower. Looking forward to removing my bumper like Kpazzo6 suggestted.

I took off my silver race grille-tech lower valence grilles, and saw that they were showing tiny signs of oxidization. I emailed Grille-Tech TWICE but no response. F*ck them...
