Removing Chrome Trim

I want to replace my exterior chrome trim around the bottom of the windows. How do I remove this?

Anyone?? Are these mounted with screws or glue?

Dunno if it can easily be removed. I remember reading about some people painting it over or something?

No...there's gotta be a way. Auto-body shops need to remove it to repaint the door.

I hate the chrome around the windows! Has anyone ever painted it, electro plated it, taped it, or changed it to black if available?

Look in the "How To's" section; there is one titled "How To: Black-out Chrome Window Trim"

you can lightly sand it down with a fine grit sandpaper (maybe 400 grit) and then proceed to paint with flat black paint

I'm talking about my original post. I need to remove the trim to replace it.

there is no replacement except what you got...if you remove it, what do you plan on replacing it with??

removal should involve prying it up
