Nissan Forever!

I know that the Maxima has some issues that come with it, but they are relatively minor compared to a lot of cars by other companies. You just have to know how to get around the minor stuff. I have has no major problems out of this car.

List of following minor issues:
1) Rattling hood.
Fixed myself by: Got some transparent wire crimps from the garage, snipped the metal part off. Split the tube open and put it on the latch on the hood. Put white electrical tape around it to match with my white car. The rattling was caused by too much space between the latch on the bottom and the latch on the hood. You could try to wrap some metal aound the hood part if you can find.
2) Rattling rear deck.
Fixed myself by: Look around for fix in this forum. I put a pattern cut comforter under it and whalah!
3) Rattling door panels.
Fixed myself by: Put some more door clips in. Appears several were broken when i put my custom stereo in, which brings me to...
4) Sorry stock stereo system.
Fixed myself by: Put aftermarket headunit in and amp, sub, and 2 CDT front speakers and Infinity Kappa rears.
5) Seriously sagging floor in trunk due to sub.
Fixed myself by: going to Home depot and getting some wood, cut it out just right, sanded, and installed. whalah!
6) Now the last thing or ummm the next thing I would like to go it increase the horsepower since I have a 2001 Max with an auto. Later down the line when the engine starts to go kaplunk, I would like to get out of those imported VQ engines from Japan and have it put in. Of course it would have to be at least a 2002.
7) Oh yeah, I have a GXE so interior had no spice to it so I added a molder wood dask kit. Looks 100% better.
Other than those minor issues, some may just be caused by me or me being picky, this car looks great, is very quiet inside. I love it.
8) Still don't know what to do with the suspension. Is it too soft or too hard. Take off RSB and get stiffer shocks, or some other. Hmm.
Considering these are all minor problems and CAN be easily fixed and the car can be bought at a great price, what else could be better?
Now I just gotta concentrate more on my 77' 280z. Anyone wanna help with a minor rebuild with in next two weeks? Straight six baby!
See ya laters. I gotta catch some zzzz's. I got to continue motorcycle safety training class tomorrow.
Nissan u rock!
Happy driving.

You may have a bad dealer/service area, which makes for a bad experience, but mine is PERFECT. I've gotten below cost deals, free maintenance, free loaner cars and tons of other crap. They just installed new fog light bulbs that I bought and didn't even charge me. Good group of people. This is my 3rd Nissan in three years, but they have been this way since day one. Have you tried a different dealer?
