rear factory brakes

Tried to replace my factory rear brake pads with factory pads P/N 44060-4U092. These were from NIssan dealership but are missing the 3 fingers on top that fit the pad correctly to the caliper and anti-rattle clip on top of the caliper. Nissan swears these are the right ones. Anyone else run into this? Don't think this is correct.

Same thing.

I recently replaced my rear brakes on my 2001 and had a similar experience - ordered the pads off of Courtesy Nissan - when they arrived, they were different than the ones on the car. I took them to a local Nissan dealership and asked for rear brake pads for a 2001 Maxima - the guy pulls them off the shelf - I open them to inspect and inform him they are not correct - his pads and the ones I ordered were identical. He then looked up the rear pad part number using my VIN and to his suprise, my pads were different than his and the ones from Courtesy. He claimed he had never seen that part number before but he ordered pads and they arrived in 1 day. He was even nice enough to exchange the pads from Courtesy for the new ones if I was willing to pay overnight freight on the new pads ($8.00). I tried to inform Courtesy Nissan that their online parts system should distinguish between the different pads but they were nice enough to disconnect the call after placing me on hold for 10 minutes!...

Rear pads

I changed rear pads about a month ago, and the pads were identical and fit perfect, but I think they were missing the metal piece that tells you to change the pads and squeeks.
But fit and work no problem.
I'm gonna change the fronts this week. anything i should know before i start?

Front brakes were a breeze. Typical disk setup remove 1 bolt and they swing out of the way. Compress the piston, put the new pads in and your done. In this case the pads were the correct ones.

Sorry but I don't have the part number that I used. Call and ask a dealer's parts dept. to look up the rear pads based upon your VIN number - that will guarantee you the correct part. The front pads and clips were fine on my car also - the rear pads and clips were completely different.
