can you remove cruise limiter?

ok i drove home to oklahoma last week and realized that you CANNOT set the cruise above 90. i was following an expedition through tennesse and we were going around 95 but it wouldnt let me set the cruise until i slowed to 90. is there a way to remove that? is it in the ecu or what?

Yes...it's limited to 89mph. With speedo error I show 92-95mph depending on tire pressure.

I've looked at the FSM to find a way to deactivate it, but it doesn't look possible IMO. Too many built in fail-safe measures.

Sucks...I know.

Yeah...that's what I've learned to accept.

Sucks when I have a good rabbit out in front of me to shadow, but I can't use cruise control.

At those speeds you should keep your foot on the gas, that way you're paying more attention to the road.
