I'd go with the Tokico Illuminas because they are made for 5th gens. As much as I like Cattman, I'm not too down with the modified AGX's...

The Illuminas adjust both dampening and rebound not just rebound like the AGX so much more control at your fingertips.

The ultimate would be to have individual adjustments for dampening and rebound but also much more expensive.

Aren't too down? You have so much experience with them I'm sure...

The direct replacement GR2s you have would spark quite a debate with the right people, namely Cattman

Nice to hear about the availability of the Illuminas. I have a slight bend in my passenger side front strut, maybe this is a good excuse to replace them all with the adjustables.

Don't give the folks that aren't down with the modified AGX a hard time. I'm the same way...pefer to buy a product, as-is from the original manufacturer than to take a product that was aftermarket modified...particularly when it comes to suspension parts. Everybody's free to have their own opinion.

Wow, sounds like someone's significant other had a 'headache' last night?!

Since you don't even have ANY upgraded shocks/struts, why are you taking this so personally? Regardless, I'm not knocking the modded AGX's. My reasoning is exactly what MichaelAE stated above, so I won't repeat it...

Tokico told me the 1st of October, then the last of October, and now sometime in November. As of last week, they still didn't have the part numbers or actual release date. If anyone wants to check for themselves, the number is 1-800-548-2549.

Hey champ, look in my sig, see where it says Maxspeed/AGX? Always nice to get the facts straight before ya open your yap. Just my thought. I don't really care one way or the other, but without any experience personally on your account with either the opinion has less merit is all

hey i found the problem. they are out to the US market but they are on back back back order. They are available in Japan but what good does that do us. Tokico said to call them back later to find out when their next shipment was coming. We need someone to place an order for us so we can get them as soon as they come in.

They told me they were waiting on the first production run to be completed and shipped to their warehouse. Never mentioned anything about Japan or back order.

Doesn't matter, the first place to get them in stock has my money.

I agree. I would just like to know where that is going to be. They said that they have had a shipment of them in previously but it was a very small number. I would like to kep investigating this b/c my car is kicking my @ss on these bumpy houston roads and i need some new shocks that can have a softer setting than my blown bouncy stock shocks

My prayers have been answered!

How disappointing to realize that only the 4th gens are in stock!!!!!

HOw willing are you guys to bite on the matching springs???
1.5" & 1.3" drops aren't very much considering the 4x4 wheel gap on these cars....
I was all set to buy the TEINS. "mmmmmm, 2.2" drop....."

I know BMW and Audi sport suspensions don't sit up THAT high -- why does Tokico insist on continuing this trend?? Can it REALLY be optimal performanace?

Dang - I wish somebody had these already with some pics......

My $$$ is waiting for an available set!
