2002 wheel paint color?
2002 wheel paint color?
I know this question must have been asked many times before but i did several searches and could not find the answer.
Has anyone ever scuffed a wheel and needed to repair a small scuff on the bead and if so what is the best color paint to match the silver on that is on the wheels now..
I thought i saw a thread a while back that contained this info as well as some suggestions on using glazing putty to fill any minor scratches but I can seem to find it anywhere on the org.
Thanks
carl

cheapest, quickest repair believe it or not is the NIssan touch up Sterling Mist paint colour. I have a 2001 SE 20th Anniversary and my wife figured she would save the brakes and stop by hitting the curb. When she got home I sat in the driveway crying. Then for some unknown reason I saw the pen touch up in my garage and I tell you, I put another coat on it once in a while and it does the job.
The other option is to get all four rims re-polished in Toronto that will cost you about 500.00 Canadian.
From what I understand the polished anniverssary rims have lead in the paint which is not allowed in Canada therefore they cannot be repaired.
FYI Nissan wants 1200.00 Canadian for a rim
Try the touch up paint first, at worst you can scrape it off, but it does stick
Good Luck

Thanks for the reply, I will stop at my local nissan dealer and pick up some of the touch up paint. Ps I also heard that Testors silver enamal works well.
