at least on 2K, it's in the valve cover, near the throttle body, on the rear (facing the firewall) side of the V... it's sitting under the intake plenum if I recall correctly.

spirilis : I am lost looking for it. I looked at the bottom of the intake manifold and it looks to be well disguised somewhere.

Can you be a more specfic to its location?

Thx

See if this picture helps:

Keep in mind, there's only 1 PCV valve in our engine... crankcase gases from the front-side bank get vented to the rear-side through a hose towards the passenger side I believe... (the PCV breather hose also goes into the front-side bank, so circulation occurs through the rear of the front-side bank, to the front of the front-side bank, then crosses over to the front of the rear-side bank, then towards the rear of the rear-side bank where the PCV valve is located)

Yeah, pull that hose off the metal bracket holding it, then gently pull the PCV valve out of the valve cover (it's not bolted/screwed in), pull off the hose clamp, put the new PCV valve in, gently push it back in...

Get an OEM PCV valve; I've tried the Autozone PCV valve, it's a ***** to install (doesn't go in easy like the OEM), and I'm not sure if it even works correctly... (smell oil fumes once in a while, so I bought an OEM PCV valve which I'll need to install tomorrow when I have the time)

I got the Deutsch P169 valve from Autozone ... Is this fine / go to the dealer and get the OEM valve?

Thx anyway for helping us out .. looks like my dealer hasn't changed it for my 30000 miles servicing ... but did take $500 from me (this value costs a paltry $4).

I shall try the OEM filter in place of this!!!

That's the exact one I used, take it back to Autozone and get a Nissan OEM PCV valve. Should fit MUCH better. My OEM one cost $10, and had to be special ordered (maybe because they're a fairly smaller dealership and didn't have much room for parts stocking...?)
