e-BREAK ques...

ok today as i parked my car and was zoning out from getting no sleep with my hands on the E-BRAKE handle i realized it had alot of free play when its all the way down or disengagedi could pull it up like maybe an inch or half an inch and it would fall back down (and i hear no clicks)...... is this normal??? my past cars or cars i been in didnt have any freeplay on the E break handle i think... IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH MY BABY?? or am i just being paranoid?? i dunno... newiaz IS THIS NORMAL?? maybe E brake line is loose??? helppp???

Some slack is normal. Some cars you can adjust the cable-not sure abotu the Max. As your rear brakes wear, there could be slightly more play.

Pull up the ebrake all the way, you will notice a hole underneath. Use a socket wrench and tighten the cable.

dont tighten too much you will cause the rear brakes to touch the rotors while driving.....i did

mine has had that much play from day one... leave it, it's fine.

yeah....just gotta pull it more then the usual to actually lock them propely

Mine too, have the same free play and not much consern about it and I use it everytimes I'm parked.
