TSB question

I bought my car from a 3rd party dealership i.e. not a nissan dealership. Its a 2k maxima. I have the problem with the tranny tsb and shifting. How exactly should i approach the dealership? Should i walk into the actually sales department or look for the repair part? Im 19 and dont look at at professional, so what would be a proper way, besides bringing the print out, to show them i have the problem that is mentioned? Should i just say "take a ride i'll show you"? and the last question is, are they going to want a record of where, when, who, etc. of where the car was purchased?

thanks,
brandon

is it still under warranty? If so, print the TSB and walk into the service area and describe the problem and tell the you know there is a service bulletin for the problem. If they deny it, or say they don't know what you're talking about, show them the TSB. They should fix it. If it's under warranty the who/when/how part of the purchase won't matter.

If it's not under warranty do the same thing but don't expect they'll fix it...it's not under warranty any more. But ask really nicely and maybe they'll do it out of goodwill.
