Fog light cracked!

Does anybody know where I can buy one single drivers side fog light for my 02 max? A stone or something hit it on the highway and cracked the lens. I know courtesy sells the kit with everything for $200 but, well you know!

Thanks, Sam

Buy a pair from DaveB. Sell the other one in the classifieds. Someone will buy it. This is fairly common.

My wife's 02 Maxima also has a cracked fog light. Drivers side. Which side did your's crack on?

I know where you can get the one fog light, but its not OEM, and they wanted to kow if it was 2 pronged or 3 pronged. I was totally lost when they asked me that. They want $60 for one foglight.

So I figured my next option would be to come here.

Did you get a hold of Dave

Check a salvage yard? Someone must've wrecked a 2k2 by now, and you could probably get it for $30 - $40.

I've called around to a bunch, and they either don't have them, or are only selling them with the whole front bumper...

Hey, I've got a cracked fog light on my passenger side and, like you, I haven't wanted/needed to buy two! Which one do you need? If it's the driver's side, maybe we could work something out and split the cost?

Thanks!

Andy

The picture they made available at autolights is for the 00-01 max. Make sure they send you the 02-03 fog light. If this is for a new light, it's great.... Nissan asks for over double that price!!!

Okay, I called and verified, they do have a 2 prong for the 2002 Maxima.

I paid a total of $61 shipped. I will let you know if it fits correctly when it comes in.

Excellent! If that works out, it is a great deal. is the lens glass like the OEM ones?

I am asusming they are. The lady that works there said they were not OEM but of OEM quality. I am assuming they look just like them.

I will let you know when I get them and install them.

She also stated if I do not like them, I can return them for a full refund.

Also, I spoke with a clear bra specialist and he stated, for me to clear bra the fog lights, and that would more than likely stop the rock chips and glass breakage.

Nope! Mine cracked even with the clear bra (3M) . . . Although it is still in one piece - I think the plastic is holding the glass together.

LOL, Oh well, worth a shot. I heard those glass lens covers break pretty easy.

Had a road rage incident on my road trip and this bastard decides to pass me, then cut me off in a constrcution zone. I heard the rocks fly, I had a bra on the car, so I knew I was okay, but the lens just doesn't hold up.

Wish they had a fix to this. There seems to be a lot lenses cracking liek this.

I just cracked my passengers side fog light because I am an idiot!! NEVER put 100w H3 bulbs in the stock fog lights, they get too hot and then your fog light cracks… I knew better, but I though I would give it a try. Please learn from my mistake…. Don’t do it!

Let me know how that aftermarket fog light works out, I’ll be getting a replacement soon…
