Somebody please check your vin # of your engine for me. This only applies to 2k0 and 2k1 maximas.Is it the same vin as mine. Look at my soght if you don't know where it is located.

For your information there is no way any other Maxima will have the same VIN as your vehicle. The reason being is that if their possibly was an error, when the vehicles were registered the error would show its face. Then the VIN would have to be corrected before the vehicles could be registered. Another thing is it would have to be the Maxima produced directly before or after the Maxima you have now. Which means it is a very good chance that the Maximas went to the same State and possibly the same Dealership. So the error would have been found a long time ago, since your Maxima is a 4th Gen. So whatever worries you did have, I believe you have nothing to worry about.

I am not worried. I am just trying to prove to some dumb idiots that I have a 2k engine in a 96. He still deos not believe me after all the pics of the vin. I just want somebody to back me up and say that 2k and 2k1 vin numberes say 222222 nrunu

Digit number 10 in the Vin tells you the year of the vehicle.
