does anyone have a dash kit form them? i found his site on
e-bay and he is cheaper than any others i found. i was wondering how the fit was and how it looked. after seeing that the one from jt has big gaps i am going to stay away
from them. any input would be appreciated, especially pics
if anyone has them available.

thanks

Not that I am badmouthing that guy, BUT from what I have seen from him, his kits are not made with REAL wood or Carbon Fiber. The base material is a sheet of vinyl decal to look like wood or carbon fiber. Some people don't care, but the issue is that real materials, especially Carbon Fiber, come alive in the way they reflect the light from different angles. His kits look "dead". See for yourself, get him to send some samples to you.

You may also wish to look at this place, I have done business with them several times and have been very happy.

Call the number on the site and get pricing and a diagram sent or faxed to you. They do nice work, they use REAL materials, and the prices are good!

I haven't looked for auto shift ***** since I have a 5 speed, but I know they are out there. The wood-dash.com kits fit pretty well, I have installed a Burlwood kit in my wife's 96 Maxima SE and it really looks good. You could almost swear it was factory looking, but better! Half the trick is in the install process too. If you take your time and line everything up very well, it will look good.

wood dash

I have not been pleased at all with Joshua Tree and the fit of the pieces (see the dash images on my car page) I have even removed and reinstalled the worst pieces (at my own expense) and they still look crappy. The ones on the drivers side vent are just unacceptable.

So I plan on buying ANOTHER set from a different manufacturer. The guys at:

http://www.wooddash.com

have sets from a different manufacturer than Joshua tree and it looks like the fit is much tighter (I looked at a set in person at my Infiniti dealer)

This is not the same as wood-dash.com -- I dont know anything about them. But I would not recommend the manufacturer who is supplying Joshua Tree.

Any tips on REMOVING my set??

Removing Dash Kit

I would use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat the parts up and after getting it hot enough, you may be able to loosen a corner with a flat putty spreader or screwdriver. Be careful not to damage the dash underneath. If you used the adhesive promoter, you will have a hard time getting this residue off without special chemicals. The sticky stuff left over can be "rolled" off into little ***** with your fingers.

Like I said before, I have purchased products from wood-dash.com and have been pretty happy. This guy even made me a single piece to match a kit I got somewhere else, when the original place wouldn't. Service like that makes me a customer for life!

Received brushed aluminum kit from ALKAPLUS...

and I am sending it back!!! I ordered the 32 piece kit and it is cheap and cheesy. I includes so many LITTLE pieces for stupid things (around cruise control) .....if anyone actually installed this thing on their car and thought that it looked good.....they might as well drive a 1984 Cadillac Sedan Deville with a gold package!! ugh!

I paid $119 for it, worth about $30.

I would steer clear of ALKAPLUS!
