01 Manual Trans Drain plug

Hey guys, I have searched the forums a couple of times now, but i still can not find the drain plug for my manual trans on my 01 max. i found the fill hole no prob but just dont know where the drain is...
sorry to post this but i need some help here... anyone?

I beleive it is located dead center at the base of the tranny facing the drivers side front tire.

Yeah, it's not obvious that it is the drain plug. Looks like a plastic cover for a sensor or something. Only one small screw holding it in place if I remember correctly.

ok thatx i didnt wanna take that cover off cause it looked like a sensor... thax a bunch

hang a second, that is a sensor...

pioneer's write up

... i thought i read it's just easier to get to than the "official" drain plug which is partially blocked, but use care!
props to pioneer for the instructs.

That sensor is the Park Neutral Position (PNP) sensor.
