CD Text

OK, before anybody says I posted this in the wrong spot, see if you can help me. I know my OEM head will display CD Text and disc titles. I am trying to figure out how I can burn CDs with titles and text. Nobody looks at the Audio forum anyway.

Make sure you check the "Write CD-Text" option before you burn the CD

Igor911, what program do you use to write CDs with text? I have been using the one that comes with Napster. I also have XP with Media Player 9 if that matters.

It would be hice if the text scrolled automatically to show the whole title. I hate having to push the button the view it all.

Nero is good. roxio easy cd creator is too bulky of a program. bogs your computer, and integrates itself too much with windows IMO.

You need a CD burner that has the capibilities of burning text on an audio CD. I think the new burners can do this. I have one a few years old that won't.

It's not the burner, it's the software. My burner is 5 years old and I wasn't able to write text to a CD until I upgraded my software.

As I found out, it is the software that allows you burn text. As far as headunits go, the Bose OEM unit has the ability to display disc and track titles on CDs with CD text.
