I have 106k on my 2000. Just curious if anyone has more miles than me and what kind of problems have they had during their ownership.

How did you black out the hideous chrome trim around your window? Looks great!

thanks,
Go to your local Pepboys/Autozone or a similar store and find "Trimbrite" blackout tape. Clean the chrome moulding with rubbing alchohol or something similar and carefully place the tape over the moulding.. then cut off the excess tape. It sounds weird but you won't be able to tell there was chrome underneath. It will also hold up well, i had it on my 98 max over a year and it held up fine through car washes and a harsh winter, no fading, no pealing.

BLKMAX005SPD, thanks
i like the way yours looks too. I love the headlights, just wish i could get away with them without having them robbed around here.

72K on 2K max.

New MAF at 37K. New brakes 20K ago.

I hit the rev limiter about every day, and execute the 5th to 3rd downshift frequently for highway passing... and it basically runs like new.

If there is a least mileage competition, I'll probably win. I have 16k in my 2002 and she is 2 years old and 3 weeks now.

48,500 on my 01'. One blown MAF, One bad baring, One bad (right front) hub assembly, One broken wheel lug, Warped rotors ( resurfaced@36,000, and currently warped again) Powerslots on the way with EBC Greens. TSB on wind noise(didn't work), TSB on hood vibration(better than it was but still visibly shakes at hwy speeds), 9 trips to the Nissan service dept., and three dealerships later, I finally found a dealer that would honor the TSB's. If it wasn't for this site I would have gone mad a long time ago. Thank's to everyone here for thier input on the ORG.

Oh btw, my Max is absolutely awesome at 87k miles! Not a creak or rattle, motor smooth as silk, interior looks as good today as when new.

Ok, this turned into a "how many miles do you have?" thread.. which it wasn't supposed to be

Anyone with under 70k miles on a 5th gen doesn't have nothing..

Am I the only one with 100k +?

btw, my car ran a few 14.8 in the 1/4 mile with just an intake and a 100k miles

i'm thinking about throwing a blower into it now. Milage means nothing..

The reason why my Max got such a low mileage is that I gotta a 2000 Civic that has 155k miles on it. I'm still making payments

havce 91,000 on mine. I bought it used in January with 59,000. The only real problem i have with it is with the rotors. Thats about it. I'll be breaking a 100k easily this year cause I have been driving around 5k a month...

Almost 48k on mine. I purchased it with 29k a year ago. No major repairs yet but I think I may need coils soon.

94,000 miles. Problems... let's see...
warped rotors...replaced with Stillen cross-drilled
ignition coils
the SES light that doesn't go off
the Nissan service that says "we dont know why it's on but it'll cost $80 to turn it off
car won't start at random
the rattle in the back deck
the CD player won't play CDs it just played 5 minutes ago
the noisy engine mounts

But at least the problems are not engine related.

I drive a 100 miles a day round trip to work. Besides that, I do a lot of leisure driving on the weekends..... No reason to have such a nice car sit in the garage !
