Koni Sport Shocks & Eibach Springs-Help!

I just bought some Koni Sports (front & rear) and Eibach springs and them installed yesterday. Unfortunately, the ride sucks!!! I keep bottoming out and hear an awful noise in the rear everytime I go over a bridge or bump. My mechanic seems to think it might be the springs and the lowering it created. Can anyone make suggestions? Do you think I have a bad set of rear Koni's? Is it the springs? Should I swap Koni's for KYB's? I don't want to sacrifice ride. I've got a set of EVO-S rims that I'm getting ready to swap in but have to fix this ride! I'm even thinking of putting the factory springs back on but hate that gap.

I don't think it's the Eibach spring. Try Tokiko shock or KYB.

I have Tokikos and had Eibachs in the rear until I switched to H&Rs (because the Eibachs sagged) and had no problems whatosoever with noises, clunks, or rough riding, although I will admit the H&Rs are softer.

Did you trim the bumpstops as the Eibach instructions recommend you do?

Good point, I'll check with the mechanic. I just get so many clunks now than ever before and it's driving me nuts. Couldn't I just get new Nissan springs and trim those to close the gap to get the better ride or is that too dangerous?

koni shock problems

I am guessing you have the Koni adjustables? Is the adjustment set somwhere in the middle or on soft? that might have something to do with the ride. Also you gotta check to see if the spring perch setting is in the middle. Thats if you have the adjustables they have 5 lines where the c clip slids and adjusts the height some. make sure your in the middle or your springs will be too loose and move around. I would move the pirch up to the top setting because Eibach springs do tend to sit lower in back.

Read my PM that I sent you. I cant see why springs or the Konis would cause the noises you are describing.
