Removing Grill from Door Panel Possible?
Removing Grill from Door Panel Possible?
Is it possible to remove the grill in the door panels (covers the mid-range speaker) ????? It looks like the whole lower half of the door panel can be removed (it's a separate piece) but I just want to remove and replace the grill itself...
While I'm on the subject, can you remove the grills in the A-pillars as well? From looking at the back of them, it seems they have little clips which were melted on.
Thanks,
Kevin

the whole door panel comes out with snaps.
first...take the trim ring out of the door handle
next...in the change cup, take out the plug and unscrew the screw. the change cup then snaps out of the window/door lock trim
next, there is circular cap on the rightmost part of the panel, close to the door hinge. pop that out and unscrew that screw
after that, there is a small handle at the bottom of the door that gives you a grip for the panel
pull firmly, but gently and u will hear the snaps come out
work your way upwards, then lift the panel upwards to clear the window trim
good luck, pm me with any questions.
on the rear doors, the same steps follow, however there is no circular cap near the hinges.
happy modding

Well, but then I'm left with a gap.. I suppose I could make another grill out of fiberglass and somehow mount it on, but I would want to make the new one before I go messing up my door panel, ya know?
That sucks that it's not removable... damnit..
