Brake Pad Backing Plates
How important are the brake backing plates? When I installed the new pads and rotors this weekend the old backing plates were very warped and wouldn't allow the caliper to seat correctly with the new pads installed. The new pads are PBR Metal Master. I already emailed DAVEB about getting new ones, but is it a problem for one weeks time without them? They don't look like they really serve any purpose. Thanks.
