Damn squeeking noise
For the past week, I've noticed a squeeking noise coming from under the car. It gets louder when I turn and goes away when I step on the brake. This weekend, I pulled all four tires off and inspected the brake pads. The rear pads were almost gone so I replaced them. The front had about 50% left on the pad. The dust-heat shield wasn't bent or coming in contact with the disc or wheel. The only thing I didn't do was check the bearing.
The surface of the discs are smooth with no ridges, wear, or groves. The brakes don't squeek when I press on the peddle, however, they do have a rubbing sound during regular driving.
Is this a sign of warped disc or something I haven't checked yet?
