traction control limits power to the wheels when loss of traction is detected...

I thought traction control used the brakes individually to straighten the car out when sliding or spinning. HLSD is what redistributes power during wheel slip.
Someone correct me?

I was wrong. This from nissan web site:
Traction Control

To help keep your wheels from spinning, the available Traction Control System automatically reduces engine output to help regain traction. You'll find it particularly valuable during acceleration or in slippery conditions.

I believe it cuts the fuel out until the slippage is gone. If it is drastic enough it feels like the car trips over itself. There are several types of TCS but I believe our cars use the fuel route.

that is correct. our cars cut the fuel to certain cylinders while some other systems will apply the brakes as it sees fit.

I shut my tcs off when I know im going to get on it and turning at the same time. I almost got hit one time because I pulled out and got on it, not flooring it, and lost power. would have been my fault because I kinda pulled out in front of someone, wouldn't have been problem since there is a lot of power, but when it cut out, yikes!
