Recall

I heard that 03 max's (and most likely 00-02's or any car with the 3.5 VQ) have a recall with regards to something with the engine (crankshaft/camshaft position sensor). Any truth this this? I heard it may cause the SES light to come on and/or the car not to start and/or a big loss in power.

Anyone experience any of the symtoms?

Cam Position Sensor - Replaced

I had that done about 4 months after getting my car. The car would simply turn and turn but never start. Real PITA - but got it fixed and no problems since.

I have a 02 Maxima SE. This sensor failed on my car about two weeks back. The car died at an intersection and was very hard to restart. It finally did start. I went to the dealer and they diagnosed and replaced the sensor in less than an hour.
