i remember there was a whole issue on pedal adjusting, and going through the engine bay to the clutch fork, and adjusting it there. anyway, i was bored today, so i was skimming the FSM (i do it once in a while) and decided to read up on the clutch. i came upon a "clutch pedal adjustment" section. i know many who wanted to adjust the clutch were scared because they felt it may eventually cause some slipping. well this was in the FSM, so i would feel a little better about this.

was this what you guys were doing when you were adjusting the pedal, just the height or the moment it would engage.

guess i'm just confused. was that old thread doing the same thing, or were you guys doing something. if it's not the same, well this is good for those that think it sits too high.

 

That FSM page is exactly what I was doing according to that thread a couple weeks ago.

I have a FSM and never thought to check it.

At least now I can measure and adjust it to the 'tighest' setting. Thanks. Polo!

That is exactly what I did. At least a couple people told me I was crazy for doing it. I was told I would burn out my clutch for sure. That was 2k miles ago. No problems here and I still notice the difference.
