Looking good! Very clean, like it's supposed to be there.

I can always return it if it doesn't fit.
the reason why I ordered from crutchfield is b/c the other kit from sounddomain doesn't seem to fit right (i did a search) that's why I ended up ordering it from crutchfield....guaranteed satisfaction.

I've seen the Crutchfield kit. I still like the Sounddomain kit a lot more (e.g. Scosche). Aside from the OEM GXE Kit, the Scosche is the next best thing.

Here's a pic of my set-up.

Btw, Scrimbo Obeer - nice choice!

Hmm, not that i remember. The only "tough" part that i had to do was glue the bottom part to the rest of the kit to get rid of the small gaps once inserted and to prevent "bowing".

thx
the reason I didn't go with that kit is b/c people were saying you need to drill like several new holes to make it work

I used the Crutchfield kit. I didn't have to mod it to close the gap at the bottom by the A/C controls, but I did have to have them aligned just right before I tighted down everything. The toughest part was actually running a power line in from the battery. My batteries for my drill were dead, so it made it a lot more challenging!

The HU is an Alpine CDA-9815. You can find them on eBay new for ~$350. I got the wiring harness and dash kit from Crutchfield, as well as all the little stuff, like the antenna adapter, the Ai-Net cable to allow AUX-IN, etc.

you have it connected to your factory sounds? you got bose? any close up pics of the deck installed (day pics)? I was going to get the same exact deck but with the GXE trim piece, but I always wanted to see what it would look like.

Upclose pics of the deck installed please???? I wanna see how it flushes or doesn't flush with the dash.

THANKS!!

10-4 to that, I installed one last weekend and it was a B*TCH! The final product was nice but it took some serious fiddling and fine tuning to get things right. I wouldn't recomend the kit unless you have patience and a Dremel tool.

Here are some pictures from my install (sorry they are night pics):

Right now is it using the factory speakers. I didn't have Bose, so I never had to face that headache. I had originally itended to use the GXE trim, but DaveB quoted me $80(!) for it, so I decided to go with the $20 Crutchfield piece. I'll get some closeup pics later today.

Are you running the adapter that enables the steering wheel controls? I also picked up a Alpine HU but not that far up in the line. I believe the adapter is between $75-$80.

For some reason, I can see your "before" pic but not the after. I keep getting a URL error message. Can you embed it? Love to see it.

The Scoshe absolutely sucks. Its a major PITA to get on. I just went ahead and got the crutchfield. Btw, They sell the crutchfield one at Circuit City.

Fits perfect. The only complaint is the color doesn't match as well as the scosche.
