Has anyone installed a Stillen RSB on a 2001 or 2001 AE?

The metal ABS (the smaller line on top) line holder did not look like the one included in the instructions. This makes the blue bracked impossible to fit. Sorry I don't have pictures. Has anyone found that the ABS line holder is diffeent? Did Nissan make more than one part here or is it just the AE model?

no no, not all 5 gens are the same!!!!

I printed out the pics from Paul's site last week. It was very helpful until I took my wheels off and discovered the ABS line holder is DIFFERENT!! The Stillen RSB is for all 95 and up maxima's! I just spoke with a installer from Avalon and they said that you have the CUT this piece! Its not a bolt on anymore! I was looking for anyone that had this problem. Is this a 2001 difference or just a Annv. Ed. difference? Back to the Grind...no pun intended.

Has anyone else installed a RSB on a 2001 and had this problem?

I have a 2001 SE and a Stillen RSB. I looked at Paul's installation and his 2000 ABS metal brackets are different from mine. I couldn't get the blue brackets around the metal ABS bracket so I left it off. Hopefully, nothing will happen to the ABS line.

My ASB line holder was bolted on. I just unbolted it and left it off. I wonder if a 2000 line holder will bolt on in its place. I don't like the idea of the ABS line loose under the blue bracket.

it might?

It looks like the 2000 ABS line holder is bolted on with the same 2 bolt pattern, it might fit. The installer said that the blue braces would now hold the ABS line. I am going to cut the part out (or bend it) that interferes with the rear brace and put my RSB on. Then I'll zip tie the ABS line and check it next time I rotate the tires for chafing.

We should just let everyone know that the Stillen RSB is NOT just a bolt on anymore for the 2001. (or they should include the 2000 ABS line holders in the kit)

I think my pics show the new holder. Are you comparing your stock holder to my Stillen holder?

Stillen holder??

Paul,

First of all, your web site has the best install instructions for a RSB. It helped me alot with my (attempted) install.

What do you mean a stillen holder? The part outlined in red is different on my car!! Did you get this part from stillen? An installer from Avalon said when they do an install on a 2001 they have to cut this part.

The ABS wire is on the outside of the outlined part. there is a flange that holds the ABS wire that prevents the blue brace from fitting. I have to cut it (or remove)
