need some feedback of suspension options
im sure that this has been overly discussed on the org, but to be honest im too lay to do a search
. i wanna know what the ultimate best suspension upgrades for a 2001 SE Max .? i basically want a real tight ride that sticks to the ground and can move left and right without heavy body roll. But i also want it to be smooth i dont want a harsh ride... i want a nice subtle ride.. but when it comes down to it i wanna be able to glide on the ground wihtout rolling...
PS i have the FSTB and a rear sway bar( good mods but i want more)
how can we mod the suspesion so its like an M3
THANKS FELLAS

It'll never be like an M3 for one thing. As for smooth but handles like it's on rails - you have to choose your poison. Seems to me like you want both of the extreme's.
My suggestion is to find someone in your area who has aftermarket set-up's and ask if you can get a feel for the ride, then decide for yourself.
All these ride qualities are very subjective, what could be subtle and non-harsh to one person can easily be bone-jarring to the other.

I have done alot of research on this same topic and it really depends on what your looking for. i.e. how far you want to drop your car, harsh ride or stock ride. I agree with what soundmike said. From what I have read, if you really want a suspension w/no body roll, your going to have to deal with the harshness. I wanted a nice drop and a very firm ride so I chose sprint springs with tokico blues ( would have gotten the tokico illumina's but bought the blues b/f they were avail. for out cars.) I'm actually getting all of it installed tomorrow. supposedly the drop is 2 inches all the way around. after the install, i'll tell you what i think.
JIC coilovers are the best thing otu there for us.
However, if you don't have that kind of cash handy, a lot of people recommend the following:
Eibach springs / Tokicos : stiff and harsh but very good handling combo
Eibach / KYB GR2s : still stiff but not as harsh, still pretty good handling
H&R / KYB GR2s : Close to stock ride but improvement over stock handling
These seem to be the options most people go for that i've noticed and i'm looking into this very same question, and am hoping to get the eibachs/ kybs for christmas.

i've ridden in both.....and i formulated my opinion.
for the price, yes they are up there, but don't think you'll ever get all 3 advantages...adjustability, stiffnes, and comfortable feel
I just finished installing Eibachs and Koni's all around and the ride is great after I figured out that the clunking came from the RSB. The ride is a little stiffer but it handles beautifully. I'll post pics with the new 18" EVO-S's that I just put on.
Seriously:If you want the ultimate, It is going to cost alot. From memory, this was in 2000, It will cost you about $15000 to $20000 US. That includes front and rear triple adjustable dampers, upper camber/mount plates, twelve springs, perches and related hardware, modifications of control arms and axle, machined replacement bushings and front and rear anti-swaybars. This will give you what you asked for. Let me know If you are serious. I have done this before!

5mm and 20mm $165
Rear KYB AGX's $160
Front 99 KYB AGX's $230
Modification for fronts $50
H&R springs $200 GD from Adventon
Install of springs and rear shocks $100
1yr later for front install of shocks $75
(if you can do it in one shot) saves some cash
So for close to a grand you can achieve a great suspension setup for this car and really enjoy the benefits that this car will give you. No more floating feeling.
