I took one for the team and might have an appointment Fri night...unfortunatley this place isnt open on weekends and closes at 5 during the week. The guy I spoke to said he will stay late on Fri for me.

i have talked to a bunch of different peeps there. with the 4 diff dynos proving a loss they cant afford to blow us off. we will get our power or money back one way or another. if not than i can see a STEALIN BOYCOTT on maxima.org taking a huge toll on their business. im callin them back today i should have more info in a few hours.

Maybe Steve from SWA could help? Sounds like he's sold a few. I know donkey was getting a set through him.

 

I saw somebody at the track yesterday that said he had Stillen headers on his max. He was running 14.4's all night which is what I guessed he would be running (even tho he said he would be running in the 13's which I knew was bullshyt any ways). He said he's got intake, full 2.5" exhaust (looked like a Greddy), race pipe and injectors. Not sure if this helps you guys at all. I think he used to post here and his name was dima or something.

I could tell by lookin at the guy that he was a complete bullshytter but I was only able to inspect the exterior of the car. He said he just put on the stillen headers and his car was freakin loud as hell so I figure he might be tellin the truth about some of the things...

 

We've had very few header orders from people that aren't on the board. Maybe 2 or 3 at the most..

I need to make a correction to myself. A friend who came with me to the track and corrected me saying that he ran a 14.2

 

trap speed? i ran 14.3 @ 97 2 months after having my car 14.2 is not too far off with a better 60' i could have a 14.2. track times are not a good example to prove anything considering u make it or break it with the 60'.
i rememeber hearing that every .1 sec u improve ur 60' results in .2sec ant the end of the track.

 

What happened? Anything new?

 

the customer service guy said that he has been tryin to talk with CULLIN the man who is responcible for the design of the headers. he said he talked with him briefly but didnt get a good convo considering everyone at stillen is going crazy for some show or somehting that they have this weekend. he promised a phone call as soon as he find out ANYTHING. i told him about the other dyno (glen) and he repsonded with it sounds like there is a issue with peeps that are heavily moded, i then said well if i would have been informed with this information prior to purchase of these headers than i never would have bought them. he totally sees where i am coming from and promissed he would do what he could when he spoke with CULLIN and researched the problem more. the guy seems rather nice and i let him know that the people there have given false information which only made the situation worse. he promised to cooperate with me ...so at this point i might call them tomorrow before the end of the week to see if anything else has been discovered. nothin new really i just made sure that they knew i wasnt going to let this thing die till i get my money back with compensation considering it was around 300 range to get them installed if they do decide to take em back. with the release of the hotshot headers in the near future i see those having a bunch of sales with proven gains customer dynos. i myself will purchase them when they r released after this stillen BS is through.

are free flowing enough- that not much power can
be unlocked/achieved from exhaust mods

Or the power is in the y mostly and the headers just produce noise- My money's on the y

Why else would Stealin' make it w/ the y pipe combo- to take an extra +$600-700 from us

 

Headers are making significant gains on tha 3.5 Altima so there is no reason why we won't similiar gains.

Also headers are making decent gains on the 350z which has a better exhaust system than we do.

Just my humble opinion, focus on getting your money back for the headers (less a 15% return charge if you have to).
The extra $300 I would forget about as Stillen will balk and it will be a deal breaker.
All of this stuff is sold without warrenty and it is buyer beware!
Make it as easy as you can for them to do the right thing. Start a paper trail. Recap and confirm your conversations with them by email or fax.
Start a thread asking how many org members are going to the Stillen open house
