02 Engine Cover

I just noticed the 'chrome' Nissan emblem on the plastic engine cover has bubbled/peeled a bit.

Anyone else notice this ?

If it's from the heat, an oil leak, or a leaking battery, shouldn't it be covered under warranty?

Mine is still good at 28K. Next time you take it in, tell them about it and see if they replace it.

Yeah, I've got that too but its not on my car anyways. I think oil/battery acid explanation is pure BS. I would push them to get you a new cover fo sho.

I took it off before, when I accidentely spilled oil though the hole without a funnal. so I had take the cover off to clean it up. and I didn't like the look of it. Guesswhat I found what under there? alot of peanut shells or some kind of beans shell and I think rat or nouse dudu. I think it chill in there because it was warm in the winter. I glad it didn't chew up anything

Unfortunately, the '02/'03 engine cover does not fit the '00/'01 engines. If you want a cover, you'd have to get the '01 20th Anniversary SE AE engine cover which looks different and is smaller.

Peace.
