technosquare ECU!!!!! i got it done today

Well sorry for the late update but yea here it is. well let me first off saying that technosquare is a great company and does outstanding work. as for the ECU all i have to say is WOW. After we flashed the new program we went to the dyno. and to the wheels on a Bosch dyno we got 210 mb more the weather was not that good. So thats about 15 hp gain to the wheels. well we then tried to dyno with the stock program but this is where we ran into a problem. there were some security issues they solved the problem but my ecu as of right now doesnt have the security feature i need to go back with my other key and get it reprogramed. so i will be going up there again on tuesday of next week and getting it all fixed. so there really was no problem if i had my spare key. but i didnt want to go all the way back to sd and get it. so i will have to wait until tuesday. for people with 03 max auto and 6 speeds i would highly get this mod. CALL THEM TODAY and get it. the car just pick up so much faster. also since the ecu is less restrictive people with mods will see even a higher hp and tq gain. Sorry for long post but just wnat to share. Also Technosquare is a great company and i would really get this mod. for dyno they are going to post on their web site soon. when i go up there again i will re dyno.

I'm glad to see positive results, but how do you know the car gained 15 HP if you didn't dyno with the stock ECU? Or, are you comparing it to a previous dyno?

well this is because one of the other donner ecu told me that most auto max dyno around 185 to 190 to the wheels so i was just thinking that but teh 6 speed did more and it had both runs 1 with stock ecu and one with new software so its safe to say 15 hp gain but amge552 will dyno when he gets his back.

The 185/190 is based on Dynojet dyno's. I'm not sure how Bosch interprets data compared to the DJet.

Did you do both runs (Stock/Updated ECU) on the same dyno?

I am lost? Do we have a stock dyno? Do we have a dyno after programming? Do we know the difference between the two? How is the driveablity after programming?

krmaxima,

Do you have a pic of your 2003 ECU chip, you can post? I would like to know the model # of the chip is in the 2002-2003.

Thanks

Lets hear some more details on how pickup is - you now have a 7100 RPM redline, correct? Whats that like? Does it pull strong to the limit? Also, you have any other mods? I got the impression that you're stock, but not sure. Let us all know everything you can about the ECU

edit: Misread post - you are and auto and you put down 210 hp to the wheels, correct? WOW - that'd be a gain of like 20 whp~23 crank hp! that sounds very, very promising...

It appears the dyno was done on a standard bosch dyno, not a dynapack. He didn't allude to a previous dyno, where his car was bone stock. No baseline dyno to compare to sure stinks though : (

Only way to counteract this situation, and find out for sure, is to take it to the strip, this will tell you many things. Most VQ35 Auto Max's do 14.80-15.00 92-93 mph. If his car does significantly better in decent weather, you have an answer as to whether its a worthwhile mod.

Its been mentioned since 02-03 VQ35 Auto Maximas are doing 185-190 at the wheels, their result of 210 should yield a ~20-25whp diff.

And, he mentions it was bad weather, maybe too warm.

krmaxima, any mods before you threw the ts ecu back in ?? Or are you stock, other than the ecu ?

That is what I mean. It is like you came on here and said 'I got it' and left. Then you said there is a problem with security so obviously they are not done with you and need to do more work prior to releasing to the rest of us, no?

ok let me update. first of all u dont need to reprogram your key but for some reason when we flashed in the stock program again it didnt work i just need my other key to fix this problem but i didnt have it at the time. the shop is in La and im in sd. there is no chip added to the ecu what it is, is a Flash. they just put in a new program with different maps and take out stuff like governer and such. oh yea also 7100 redline. the reason y i cant say what the stock ecu ran was becasue we were not getting right readings. it was very weird. the auto is hard to dyno. but yes you can see the 6 speed dyno on the other thread. but he had an exhaust. and our number were very close to each other. so all i have to say is go and get this mod. im telling u it worth it. anyone in socal want to test drive my car or want a ride hit me up i live in San diego.

about the security problem there is really no problem. if i had my other key and if it worked there is no problem but remember i didnt have my spare key. for some reason my key didnt work but yea the ecu is running perfect without the security feature. but i am going to go in on tuesday and get it redone so dont worry about. it really isnt a big problem but yes they told me that they are going to start selling them so called them and get it. also remember since the ecu is less restrictive once u add mods, you will see a bigger jump. and this is for a fact. the 6 speed added a intake and the tq increased by 1/2. so if he gained 15 tq with new ecu now he has like 30 tq with the intake. and he dynoed on a dynojet i will tell them to post dyno on their website.

I doubt TS would guarantee a specific mods impact (hp/tq) would increase by 200% just by the using the TS ECU.

ts doesnt guarantee that. but that is what the dyno showed. so im just tring to say the new ecu is less restrictive.

210whp is a nice fat number for 6spd's actually, most dyno ~205whp.

A/T arent even close to 200whp. So 210whp for an auto is outstanding for a $500 mod...

I ABSOLUTELY hate it when people get too excited and post crap withOUT having ANYTHING ready to show. Talk about a tease.

How about post the Bosch dyno?
How about the torque?
How about the RPM range 200+hp is held?
How about you run Kloogy in 2nd/3rd and see who walks who?
How about a picture of the tach PAST 7-grand?
How about you get a before/after dyno like this SHOULD HAVE HAD IN THE FIRST PLACE?@?!?!?!?!?!

THEN AND ONLY THEN come here and post up this ****. Otherwise, your butt-dyno and 210ps = ~213hp, numbers really don't mean much.

Sorry, but this place is getting SO full of BS, because people aren't sticking to PROVEN methods of testing.

1)Get a BEFORE/AFTER dyno or don't bother posting.
2)Preferably get a DynoJet dyno, since that's what most people have access to and we can compare apples-to-apples.
3)Don't just state PEAK numbers! They are WORTHLESS!!!!!! You could have picked the damn fuel cut spike for all I know or you could have lost TONS of area under the curve, so don't even post it.

Did we NOT learn ANYTHING on the Stillen Headers?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

A stock auto will put down 195 at most and the 6spds put down about 205 at most. There are a few that have hit a few whp above that but not many.
