lug nut stripped

lug nut stripped

hey guys .. i went to get my tires rotated the other day ... and i noticed that one of my lug nuts was stripped when i took it our and so was the screw thingy

the lug not wouldnt go back in it.... i went to the dealer and they said they would charge 70 bucks ....wich is ridiculous
any ideas on how i can fix this...
i'm rollin with four lug nuts on one of wheels right now.. is that dangerous?

you took it some place to have your tires rotated and they LET you leave on 4 lug nuts? that surprises me a great deal.

go to the dealer and pay about $5 for a new stud and nut and change it yourself. easy to do.

call around tire places around your town, last time I did that, my tire guy only charge me 10 bucks parts included.

Same shyt happened to me when I got my tires rotated- exept I wasn't given a key for the wheel lock nuts- so he put a regular open nut in temporarily-
I suggest do the same and order a set of new locks from www.courtesyparts.com

Yeah i also have a stripped nut...thnx to GoodYear.

****'s. I can't take off my wheel. What do I do?
