do u know if he just drilled a hole through the plastic or how he led the wires, the reason why im asking is i can get a 1 foot bendable tube of LED's real cheap, going to try and do this myself, i just dont want to screw up the lights.
thanks
well I know what he did, obviously he took the headlight apart, drilled a hole in the back-VERY very small hole just enuff for wires 2 go thru, did it up and sealed it with epoxy or something like that, i'll take pics im just a little lazy,

That's unfortunate, we've not really had the time or the energy to make sure that people did these correctly, but I hope that we can begin again with our new product.
That one will certainly never look that way, even if not installed by a pro:

just curious since LEDs "usually" outlast the car, not saying ur product sucks IT IS bad a$$

by the way mike from clearcorners.com helped the 240sx on the new issue of import tuner do his LED tails
(i'll be gettin minez soon)

If you want to do a comparison between LED and the halogen light that is in the fiber optic version, then I'll give you the following breakdown that I did many moons ago. It's empirical engineering data, not just some "badazz **** talkinz jive" k?

DDE Gen V aka Fiber Optic.
positives
clear when off
sparkles when off
factory/OEM look
modular - change colors
easily installable
rings are nearly unbreakable
negatives
large light box causes people to think about where to place it - documentation available, but still an issue for many.
fibers must be run from rings - yes, an issue, but it keeps heat away from the reflector and inside the engine bay.
messy fiber optics strands need to be covered.
LED Based Solution
positives
small footprint, no need to run fiber
no light box - meh, toss up here.
will burn forever
uh, uh...ok, inexpensive, but so is a Honda.
negatives
wiring/soldering <-- who wants to do that?
LEDs don't like vibration <-- how long before the shrinkwrap holding them in place allows them to vibrate free? <-- how are they suspended?
LEDs don't always match in color - you need 12-20 to get 8 that approximate the same color.<-- basic fact, WE SELL LEDs, and we sell them for less than just about anyone, and we know this

LEDs are 1/10th the brightness of a bulb regardless if you go 10000mcd or 15000mcd (which shortens their lifespan) <--- go call the big LED suppliers in the country, they'll tell you if you don't believe me - I'll even give you the names of people I've spoken to, if I can find them in the rolodex.
Now, if you want some more data - www.umnitza.com and look at the DDE FAQ on the left hand side. www.umnitza.com/ddefaq.php
Here's a picture of the same cars (same headlights, one has LED, the other DDE Gen V), you tell me which one are clearly brighter:

thanks umnitza, that info was very helpfull , u know ur ish............. can u put blueish white rings (not 2 bright ) in the speedometer?? i would love for my mph and rpm numbers 2 be a lil brighter as well as blueish..........but dont want them 2 be blinding
