Went to the track last week....

and now I'm finally getting off my lazy azz to post about it.

First off, I want to say that I drive $hitty or my max is slow....
My best time was 15.1 @ 91mph et...
It seemed like I was peeling out too much and was never able to put power to the ground for dayz.
Here are my slips. I'm #83:

Was that your first time ?? It was a little difficult seeing your timeslips but it looks loke your 60 times could be better. I think with more practice you will be in the high 14's

Good job, BTW.

Those aren't too bad for your first time at the track. Yeah you just need to work on your launch. 2.4-2.6 is pretty bad. Practice and you'll be able to get them down to the 2.1-2.2 range and you'll be running mid/high-14's like a lot of others. It's all in the first 60'. Be sure to post your timeslip report up in the 1/4 mile forum. Link in my sig.

How was the weather at the track ? Track prep probably wasn't the best, since at the end of the season, they don't go b a l l s out like at the beginning of the season. How many miles do you have on your Max ? Stock Potenzas ? I was doing 60' like you and getting similar poor times. Switched to new tires Sumitomo HTR+, and have been getting 2.2xx 60' ever since. As was said, getting launch, minimizing wheelspin, it all makes a huge difference.
