2k engine (complete) will not fit a 4th gen. So I take it you just have the engine with a 4th gen intake manifold. So technically all you got is a 2k VQ30de not a VQ30dek. 5th gen intake manifold wont clear your firewall and I believe hood clearance is an issue. So no point telling people you got a 2k engine because there is nothing advantageous with the setup you got since its technically the same.
Also 6spd aint no joke to install. Requires a few modifications and not like just swapping it to a 5spd. First off the 6spd uses a cable driven shift mechanism not a Shift rod mechanism so that you will have to work out. Not to mention the starter wont clear so you will have to do some modifications there as well. Hope you got ALOT of spare time and patience, cause its not going to be fun.
And for all that work, what are you truly gaining? The ability to say you got a 6spd in your maxima? The only really true thing you are going to gain is that your 6th gear ratio is tall that you will probably get better gas mileage at a cost of less performance in that gear.

if you really wanna talk to someone about 6speed tranny swaps, talk to jeff @max tuning in Long Island, NY. he did it on his 4th gen. we talked for a few minutes on it. you have to go through the firewall and you have to move A LOT of stuff around just to get it to mount correctly. of course it's doable, but he's already done and he said it was a pain and HE runs the the place.
now if you want to know if a VQ35 will fit a 4th gen, just wait about 4-6 mos. that's all i'm saying.
