Brake dust.....

Is it normal for the 5th gens to accumulate more brake dust on the REAR wheels? The rear wheels are regularly twice as black as the front. Hmmm

My rear pads wear out faster than my fronts, and so do a lot of other 5th generation owners. This would mean more brake dust in the rear. No big deal. My brakes are fine.

just check it out in the shop it should be free., the rear has smaller brake than the front, so it wear faster . in lexus and bimmer they have it the other away around front small, rear large. just put some wax in the wheels for easy cleaning or you can just it wipe off with out water.

As a general rule, the fronts wear faster than the rears because most of the weight trransfer goes to the front brakes. I get the most dust from my fronts on my 5th gen just as I did on my 3rd gens. I never replaced the rears on my 92 SE and they were still about 50% at 100K miles.
