service engine soon light went on this afternoon, so i went to my mechanic. he put it on the computer, and it read that it was running too lean. What does that exactly mean? I know it relates the air:fuel ratio. but what causes it. anyway, he set that as the default. Could it be the O2 sensor going bad? Any insight would be good.

 

O2 sensor problem, or a fuel delivery problem...
