Ceramic pads

Just bought ceramic pads the other day, had my rotors turned (warped a little) and the pads are eating the rotors! Is this normal?

Not too familiar with ceramic pads, other than that they're supposedly not all that good for street cars. Porsches etc use them, since there is basically no brake fade as the rotors heat up, but at low temps I've heard they arent that good....

Thanks. Think I'll go back to OEM Bendix. The ceramic make a little noise and are already wearing my rotors.

yeah, i got my slotted/dimpled Brembo rotors on my 01 with the ultimate axxis metal. whenever i drive at low speeds and apply brakes, i can diffentliey hear the pads rubbing on the rotors. Braking power is amazing though, they grab like hell!

one more question, will i have to put new rotors when i put new pads? , about how long should the pad last?
