I recently drove a 2003 MAXIMA SE with a 6 speed and could not believe the difference in power from my 2000 MAXIMA SE auotmatic.
I am going to buy one in about six months.
While driving I noticed that the BOSE system told you the artist and name of the song being played. A local parts recycler has a 2002 and 2003 BOSE radio in stock, will it work on my 2000 SE allowing me to see the artist and song name?

I beleive in order for it to work properly, you would need all the components of the bose system. Just swapping the HU would not work. I am assuming your current Max has a non-Bose HU.

 

My car has the bose unit and is fully loaded with all options.
Can I swap it out with the newer Bose unit and have the song titles and artist name appear?

i swapped a 2k2-2k3 bose headunit into my 2000 max and it works fine. I do not have cds with text written on them so I am unable to help with that. The only feature we cannot use is the auto volume where the volume increases when you accelerate.

Because the 2000 is going to my wife....

Just keep in mind the deck reads CD Text, not those ID3 tags...
