2002 Max Bose and CD-R's

I have a 2002 SE with the Bose (bought sept 2001). I've been playing my CD-R's for quite some time now with NO problem. About 6 months ago I noticed a few CD-R's had problems playing, the player would just blink. No problem, I just skipped to another CD. But recently I get an 'ERR F3' message. Not only on older CD-R's (3 or more years) but brand new ones, just burned! It plays factory CD's fine. I have heard of trying different brands, but why would it play them before and not now? Any favorite brands out there? I bought some Philips CD's and they do the same thing. I was using Fuji and my TDK CD's dont work well either. Its wierd, it will play them after I take the CD in and out several times. I had an Alpine in my Integra that did the same thing. I CANT believe BOSE didn't make the unit CD-R compatible. I guess I'll just have to replace it or get it fixed. Any suggestions??

My first suggestion is the clean the cd player laser cleaner. Those kits are cheap

I tried using an older (prob 3 or 4 years old) ALSOP lens cleaner. Didnt work. Anything newer or better I would try it. As much as I use it (whenever I drive and i have almost 40k miles) I would believe its dirty. Anybody else having problems?
