i just recently decided to fix up my car. i added 18" antera rims with nitto tires. i also added eiboch springs to lower it enough to cover the gaps around the tires. i noticed that car steering wheel shakes alot when i go over 50 m.p.h. i thought it needed an alignment and balance, so i took it and it got a little better. could it be that i might need different tires or class of rims? oh yeah...i also want to add more crap to my car, so if you guys can be kind enough to give me ideas and suggestions, i would greatly appreciate it. i will post a pic of my car as soon as i get a digital camera... thanks!

Did you get a printout of the alignment? If not demand one or get it redone. I have caught shops either not doing anything or doing a poor job with alignments. Get you alignment done at a shop that works with lowered cars, some alignment techs don't know how to properly align a lowered car.

Secondly, I would rebalance the tires. Did you get the rims new or did you buy them from someone? There sometimes is unseen damage from used rims.

i bought the rims and tires from my friend at work. he had them on his 98' honda accord. i also got a print out at the shop. i remember him taking off some rings from the rim so they could fit on my car.

thanks mark :]

it could be because of ur tire balancing...u may have lost some weights on one of ur wheels. check if u have all the weights..u can do this by peeking into inside of ur rims thru ur spokes...if not, it's the off-set issues. since u mentioned about 'taking off some rings from the rim' part..
check ur off-set~
