Wilwood Big Brake Kit with Stock 17" (AE or non-AE) wheels

Wilwood Big Brake Kit with Stock 17" (AE or non-AE) wheels:

Has anyone gotten this to work?
What size spacers did you need to install?
What length studs.

I have someone telling me 30-35mm, but I remember 4th gens doing this with 15mm. I know the offset is different and the hub is different but I expected 20mm max..

Please anyone who has done this or knows how to make this clear please let me know. I want to get the kit on this week.

Thanks

Chris

Id help you but I dont have the stock wheels to test this for you. Unless someone in my area drove to my place I can try to test fit it and give you an answer cause I got the Wilwood BBK on my joint.

PM Galo
I think he has the Wilwoods and has experimented with different wheels and spacers. He is having some custom spacers CNC'd right now. He is a great guy.

Which kit?
Original GD that I got mine are
4 piston Superlites with 13" (12.9") 2 piece rotors
Precision has since come up with a new 2k-2k2 kit that is
4 piston Dynalite with 13" (12.8") 2 piece rotors

With the kit I have now... (12.9") I have been told it will take approx 1.25-1.5" (30-35mm).... that's a lot of spacer.. no spacer kit I know is that big for Max.
Any suggestions??
Now the newer kit I hear is thinner.. calipers are about 10mm on each side thinner..
Don't know what the spacers needed would be .. maybe 20-30mm? I'm guessing here.

Any help would be great though.

Thanks

I've PM'd Galo before with no word back.
I just did again.
Hopefully will get some help.
But I have a different kit then you so clearance might be a bigger problem.

And from what I have been told it will take 1.25-1.5"(30-35mm) to clear....

So I don't know if I should swap kits.. but mines already pained

Car is over at Maximum Tuning getting few things straightened out.
I will get the brake kit back when I pick up the car next week.
I will do the measurements on the kit when I get it back and chat with you.
I don't know about shaving the A-arm (what problems might this cause?)
My kit originally came with hats that were alot higher and precision sent me the shaved ones (lower profile).. don't know if this helps.

Here is a link to my superlites

Thanks

Okay..it looks like you have the modeified hats indeed.

I was the first one who got the PB kit, and for that kit they did all the measurements on a loose, unattached axle/spindle....because I was traveling I did dnot get to play with the kit for about three weeks, then I discovered the interference problem with the A-arm, which PB had not discovered because their axle/spindle did not have an A-arm attached to it!

I took a Dremel to the outer edge of the A-arm and shaved a little more than an eighth of an inch from it, absolutely no problems. There's plenty of material there.

Along with the new, shallower hats -should be about .625- you should have alse received two new small aluminum spacers which allow the caliper assembly to be properly centered on the new shallower hats.....did you get those as well??

If you have all these pieces, you should be able to clear your stock wheels with the H&R 5mm spacer.
