Right behind the windshield-wiper controls. It should say TCS on it. When you deactivate it, you will see an orange TCS light on your dashboard. Now if you don't have the TCS button, it means you don't have Traction Control on your Max.

Nope... I have a fully loaded 2000 GLE Auto, the only option I don't have is TCS. They all have ABS and that cannot be (easily) disabled...

Why would anyone want to disable ABS? It is a great safety feature which allows you to keep the car in control when you slam on your brakes hard in an emergency situation. As to TCS, I read an org member saying that it may be good to disable it when you try to go up a slushy snow filled incline. I never disable my TCS -- perhaps I never have had to go up a slushy incline.

no TSC here but ABS is the worst ting you can have in the snow. I tested a few cars with the ABS feature and the non-ABS stopped quicker in the snow.

**cough*cough** **cough*cough**

It's proven over and over again that ABS brakes stop quicker then non-ABS brakes. Facts are facts my friend, just deal with it.

not another one of these discussions... abs isnt made to stop u faser its made so you are able to controle your car while breaking. if you dont have abs, you cant control your car while breaking, but w/abs you can go around other cars and avoid bad situations
