basic mods and maybe 300hp flywheel?

Im saving up in my piggy bank for this, when spring hits again. What can I expect in total, 1/4 mile times that could be dropped?

If you can list how much each mod helps knocked off in the quarter, it would be greatly appreciated

basic intake?
pulley?
bpipe with stock muffler?
hi flow cat or i think its either test/race pipe?
y pipe and headers? can you even have both? how does this work btw?
chip? I saw one from custommaxima.com

13.9s possible here?, how much could my flywheek get to? hehe

thanks

it's hard to say how much each mod is going to knock off in the quarter mile.... combinations of different mods will yield different results...

Without the ECU, you can probably hit low 14s or high 15s.

It's hard to say how much for each one, as no one runs one mod, then removes it and installs another mod.

Yes

how much could my flywheek get to? hehe
Using my numbers as a baseline, I put down 223.5 HP to the wheels with the following mods: PR CAI, WSP 2.5" Y/Cat/B pipe, FlowMaster 60 Series, UDP, and Greddy E-Manage. This was BEFORE the headers and rims. And I'm a manual transmission.

The manual transmission has around a 20% loss. Some calculations say 17%, while others say 23%, so I'll use an average. Take my WHP at 223.5 and divide it by 0.80 means that I would be making 279.3 HP at the crank.

So in order to get 300+ HP at the crank, you'll at least need the ECU upgrade as well. And remember that these numbers are for a 6-speed manual.

I'll be dynoing my car with the headers and ECU (in addition to the stuff listed above) near the end of the month.

If you want to improve straight line acceleration, dont forget to get light wheels. They make a big difference as well as bolt ons. 13's are definatly attainable with those mods. With just an intake and UDP I hit 14.66, which still was with a half decent launch, so there is no doubt I could hit 14.5's with a better launch. Add another ~20-30 hp, that'll come down, and with better traction, there's your 13 second 1/4. Cant wait to see some numbers with the TS ECU that people are gettin now too... that will hopefully make a significant difference in times

basic intake?

Maybe good for 5-8 hp

pulley?

Would probably free's 5-7HP

bpipe with stock muffler?

2-3 hp

hi flow cat or i think its either test/race pipe?

Some claim that testpipe can give up to 12 Hp ( skeptic )

y pipe (12-16 HP ) and headers ( 20 hp )?
one or the other can you even have both? no

how does this work btw?
The Y-Pipe replace the restrictive Nissan Y and remove both pre-cat

The Headers replace the exhaust manifold and are less restrictive.

chip? I saw one from custommaxima.com

For 2K2-3 I think your good for near 20 HP

13.9s possible here?,possibly if your drop your RT and get perfect launch

how much could my flywheek get to? hehe Make the math... he he

thanks

Cheers

thanks all

with all that accumulated, it seems about right around 300hp flywheel

i want it N/A, and streetable, therefore no slicks, thats why

Im going to use the stock wheels and suspension as well lol

how much would the chip go for?
and seeing many people on previous posts for the 4th gens atleast, also say the headers investment is not worth the cost, with what the ypipe can give?

anyone care to share?

With cams, headers, intake, exhaust, and the Technosquare ECU you could probably get to 300HP NA.

cams should push it over 300. i'd be over the idea of cams though, not about to rip open my head

blah to the power, if you want real results, you need to some tranny work too. i'd say invest in a vb, worth the money from testimonials, i'd say anything under a grand that can improve your quarter from ".4-.6" is definitely worth it.
